The Speaker Awards 2026
The race to be recognised among the industry’s most influential voices is officially on, as The Speaker Awards 2026 unveils its highly anticipated shortlist.
Now celebrating its fifth year, The Speaker Awards, founded by renowned industry leaders Elliot Kay, Lovelda Vincenzi and Simone Vincenzi, continues to spotlight the storytellers, thought leaders, and changemakers captivating audiences across the globe.
Over 200 applications were rigorously evaluated by a panel of expert judges, including prominent bookers, bureaus, trainers and coaches. Following fierce competition and razor-thin scoring margins, the successful shortlistees were revealed live during the Shortlist Reveal Party streamed online on Friday 22nd May.
Spanning a range of award categories, from Best Live Speaker and Best TEDx Speaker to the newly introduced Best Host and Best Motivational Speaker awards, the 2026 finalists represent the very best of today’s global speaking industry.
Judges described this year’s standard of competition as ‘exceptionally high’, with only single-digit points separating shortlisted nominees in several categories, highlighting both the strength and depth of talent recognised.
Among this year’s incredible shortlistees is Bruce Dickinson, legendary Iron Maiden frontman, aviation entrepreneur, and commercial pilot. Dickinson is renowned for translating lessons from music, aviation, and business into compelling talks on leadership, resilience and innovation.
Also making the shortlist is Aaron Phipps MBE, a Paralympic Champion who has scaled Kilimanjaro on his hands and knees, and Helen Seymour & Nic “Rosie” Steevenson, former RAF fast-jet aircrew and one of the world’s first all-female fighter jet crews.
Commenting after the shortlist reveal, Elliot Kay, CEO and co-founder of The Speaker Awards said:
“We’d like to congratulate every speaker who entered this year’s awards. It takes courage to step into the spotlight, and the depth of talent across the industry has been truly inspiring. We’re excited to welcome speakers from around the world to London this July to connect, learn from industry leaders, and celebrate the craft of professional speaking together.”
Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony hosted at the Leonardo Royal London St Paul’s on Friday 3rd July 2026. Successful finalists will join the ranks of previous winners including Speaker of the Year 2025 Jim Steele, Booker’s Choice winner Emma Henderson and Best Newcomer recipient Alex Atherton.
